HI everyone!~ Cairi here, just a little update. ^_^
As you can tell from the title, I went to fight the infamous Maat, hated by most if not all adventurers. I went to the fight as a 66 Ninja, to which I had earlier vowed that I wouldn't level past 66 till I beat up the old man, and that's what I accomplished in one try. Cairi 1 - Maat 0

Unfortunately, in my nervous/excited mood, I had completely forgot to take any screenshots of the battle ><;

More updates to come...hopefully, if I ever figure out how to post pictures here, ahaha, Crash {Help me out!}

I'm sooooo sorry for the lack of updates. Been busy with stuffs. And there aren't much going on in Linkshell that's worth blogging anyway =X There is, but I wasn't there to take pictures and know what's going on...

Just a little update:
1. Linkshell people have been doing CoP regularly recently in hope of gettin Sea real soon. I was supposed to join them but exams and stuff have been keeping me from the game T.T

2. We managed to take down Roc and Serket a few times the past few months. (We're not a HNMLS but hey, I consider that some accomplishments for the Linkshell ^^b).

3. A few of us were in a Dynamis Linkshell named DeathNotes (refer to previous post). A few of us had some new and pretty neat AF2s to showoff and play around with. Grats to everyone! Tried Dynamis-Buburimu last night. More pics below.

4. Helped Iio with with WSNM. Was a decent fight considering there's two fighting the stupid crab NM. The went was long but we were never put into real danger of dying... cept the moment when I tried to activate Healing Breath, I activated Spirit Link instead. >.< My Hp went from 500+ to 100++ Stupid me... More pics to follow.

5. Linkshell was helpful as usual with help requests. Been doing AF NMs, hunting keys and helping out with quests. Grats to all those who benefited with the Linkshell helping.

Random Pics of those who braved Dynamis-Buburimu for the 1st time.

One of the many Dragon we had to fight in there... very very nasty. Some came with AoE petrify, AoE damage moves and AoE Dispel! Irritating dragons.. We wiped a few times and ended up being removed from the area when we ran out of time. We gain much valuable experience from this run. Will be going back real soon and hope to clear this bad ass area >.<

Happy 2006 everyone ^^ Greetings from everyone's "favourite" Tarutaru, Crash!!

I started off the new year busy with levelling my Dragoon with Votricion, Dragonwiz and Peachie.
It's at level 70 now. Hope everyone is having as much fun levelling as I did =P I've never level-ed my Dragoon this fast before. It was always seeking endlessly for hours and hours. Thanks to the new found static party, I was able to level my dream job at last. Kudos to Vot, Dragon and Pea ^^

Last night, we returned to our twice-a-week routine of Dynamis with the Japanese Linkshell Deathnotes. We went to Dynamis-Bastok to get the ball rolling and was hoping to clear the area for some of the newer members. But it seemed like we were short-handed last night, which ended up in plenty of wipes T.T But on a brighter note, plenty of AF2 dropped. I think it was something like 2 Drg, 2Blm, 2Brd and 1Sam.

I, for once, was very very very lucky to be able to be the one and only to lot for the AF2s that I need. Yay!

After Dynamis, I decided to form a Party that was willing to help me out with the Notorious Monster in Newton. After asking around and forming up, I managed to get the help from Darkx, Greyfox, Votricion, Dargonwiz, Chunz and Gabrywind.

Hearing from Gabrywind that the drop of Rutter Sabatons is about 33%, my heart sank. I was never lucky with Notorious Monster drops, and I thought that my luck was all used up during Dynamis. Imagine my happiness when I went 1/1 of the drops =D

It's been a great start to 2006 for me. I hope that everyone in Vanquisher and Vana'diel has as much fun and luck as I'm having for the road ahead. Cheers everyone ^^v

Was bored today so I thought I would go see if the ??? for the Offering was up. So happends it was! Was also able to form a group on short notice to kill the NM for them too. Wasn't able to get better shots from this Kreutzet fight. He look just like any other big bird mobs around. Knowing from those information on the web and assuming maintenance probably was done at 3am with the NM popping soon after, I went to Cape Terrigan to camp at 12pm, 25th of Nov. Slowly Greyfox came as Rdm/Blm, then Valeron as Blm/Whm and Votricion as Mnk/Nin. The wind weather in Cape Terrigan sure took his time to pop.. and by around 630pm, wind weather finally came and along with it, Kreutzet!!!

Read that Sirocco Kukri isn't 100% drop from Kreutzet but anyway it sure was 1/1 for me. And if anyone still don't know althought its 21 damage only but it's 150 delay and best of all it's 100% Enaero. /cheer! I want to take this opportunity to thank Greyfox, Valeron and Votricion for coming to help me out and enduring the long wait. ('v')b

Although this isn't really a Vanquisher LS event, but most of us took part in this Diaosimi LS event. I went to the event as a THF/SAM. Spirit Within with 300%TP and full HP can do 580-650dmg on Gration. Even bought Carbonara (yummy) to further push up my HP.

Drop rate for Tatami shield isn't good. I went in for Thf last kill on 2 ocassions and couldn't get Tatami shield to drop. This is one shield I hope I'll be able to possess one day. All in all its a fun event in my opinion.

Limbus has been a lot of fun. Its like BCNM and Dynamis rolled into one, but not so laggy like Dynamis, fast paced too. Its expencive though, costing me about 100k a run. Hope that Harliquin's Horn sells soon >.<

Hehe.. It's that time of the year again! And Crash is all excited to find out what new items are in store this year ^^

Crash had fun stuffing scary-weary NPCs in town with treats! (i hope they have a gd slimming centre to go to after this event =P) In return, the Fat-to-be NPCs gave Crash cute costumes to wear! YIPPEE!

Greyfox and I found out that besides the usual Pumpkin Heads and Trick/Treat Staffs, there's a new addtion this year! We did plenty of research on the internet, did silly runs around town testing the information we've gathered. Finally we managed to get what we wanted in San Doria:

This is the NQ (normal quality) though. There's a HQ(High Quality) version of it, where it ehances movement speed when in costume. There isn't much information on the net regarding how to get it, maybe no one had it yet. Would love to have it, even though it would only work when one is in costume XD

Story!~ Promyvion!

Ok, little story update...I would put picture, but don't know how too ><; blog newb ^^;

Promyvion-Mea => First promy!~ nearly whole LS turn out to come, haha, {fun} {excitement} {death} {You can have this}. Going up was fairly easy, our guide Squishy got us lost a couple times, lol, 3rd floor think it was, walk in big circle for 20 minutes, haha. Vot died on the way up, and de-lvl ><; but a little later lvl up again!~ haha. When reach Spire Mea, Peachie gave us mini-briefing, then we did the BC battle!~ This boss later like to spam AOE high dmg ability!~ We didn't have any anima's, so this battle was a bit hard. I had to drink all my hi-potions, thankfully with wonderful mages, I still survived with 27hp!~ haha.

Promyvion-Dem => Not as many people turn out to do this one, but that's ok!~ think have nearly 2 full parties. This time we have anima's!~ think like 3, but that was plenty it seemed. Getting to spire was very very easy, hardly any aggro, always the first MR (memory receptacle) we fought was the real one, no death this time either!!~ ^^This BC battle was very easy, however boss likes to have babies ><;; haha. This time use only one hi-potion, Dem boss {Too weak}.

Promyvion-Holla => Thanks to tiko {Mega Boss} craft us our holy water ^^. Nearly two full parties this time as well. On our way up, think on the third floor, got aggro, Vot go killed again T_T and de-lvl too!~ Yet again, Vot got his lvl back!~ yay!~ This time, not only Vot get killed, think we had 5 or 6 links, was very long hard battle, some used 2-hours, others used items. Blah, think 7 of us got killed, lol, no matter!~ rest up and heal, and continue to chiong!~ However interesting story, all the tiko's got killed. I was killed too!~ but I not tiko!!~, here's our explanation. Darkx tiko {Mega Boss} have so much tiko karma, he pass it on to me!!!~ >_<; aiyah, www. Anyways, we continue on up, Whisperwind {Sacrificial Chamber} pull all the empty to zone line, to give us free run to spire, he lived!~ with 49hp!~ ^^. This BC battle require different medicine like poison potion, and holy water. BC boss like to spam AOE sleep + curse. However we come prepared!~ using our anima's effectively Anzella and I (think we only one's that had any, I had 2...lol) we were able to prevent BC boss from spamming this too much. Holla boss at 40% hp, I called out {Full Attack!}, afterwards...die very fast, haha. We came out with a win!~ yay!~

After a few cutscenes Anzella, Crowy and I ended up in Lufaise Meadows!~ was very pretty place, and had nice music. Chunz came back to escort us to Tav Safehold. But in prior cutscene, these 3 taru's steal stuff from me!!!~ evil!!~ (o>_>)==O grr...haha.

Hello everyone~ Crowy is back with good news~ Thanks to everyone in the linkshell for helping me farming Blackmage Testimony for the past few days... Nearly killed somebody in the process Please forgive me... Dunno why damn blur these few days... lol

Anyway there was once after getting Cauldron's coffer key, we decided to go to temple and hunt for my testimony. Look who we found~

Anyway he wasn't too generous... and so are the BLM type tonberry! Didn't get a drop for about 1-2 hours!! Strongly discourage any blm from coming here for testi!

Crowy's Virgin Dynamis Trip

Hello all! I finally went for my very first Dynamis trip! It was indeed exciting.... i went in as a 69blm but came out as a 68blm lol because my stupid NA party dun wanna give me buffer and left me at 114/32000 /sigh. It was confusing and overwhelming for me as it was my 1st time....
Lot's of death as we can see in the picture below lol...

And for the good news... Gabrywind got his WHM AF2 armor and Ces got his WAR AF2 Gloves and as for me.....

Heh didn't expect to get it either since i heard BLM af2 pieces rarely drop... and i lotted for 985!
anyways there isn't any blm at the time i lotted lol i guessed the rest already got it.

And on a side note... i finally got my Goldsmithing Shades... but it makes my tarutaru looks so Tiko lol

Well we climbed the stupid mountain after that ><; which was a long journey... As i was concentrating on the journey up , i didn't take any pics please forgive me ><; The fight was rather quick.... but during the fight, i felt i was too weak... didn't really stun at the right time....

Our PT Config is Darkx (Pld/Nin), Votricion (Mnk/Nin), Iio (Thf/Sam), Peachie (Blm/Whm), Rubedo (Blm/Whm) & Greyfox (Whm/Blm). Our LS do not have the luxury of a highbie Ninja to work with. We still decided to take this risk and work out a strategy. We are 1/5 on this BC. Howling Moon is the reason why we failed so many times... which usually kill the Pld and Blm.

The amount of time spend waiting to pop (my best record being 10 hour straight without popping and the waits to pop but end up losing claim is at the same time horrifying and devastating... Roggy seems like a special old friend to me now... Definately one whom I made special attention to visit everytime I go Temple (not forgetting another old friend whom I HAVE to always visit is the Tonberry hate clearing NPC). However, now I must bid my farewells to these 2 old friends and the place I can call my 2nd home. This just might be my testimonial battle with Roggy.

{/hurray}{Thief's Knife}{Found it!}{mine} There's a couple of people I would like to thank, who in some ways helped and encouraged me to bring my tally up to 43 battles. I could have given up at 0/36 but people like Rubedo and Zaan has always pushed me to hunt Roggy. Always mounting on the possibility that if I don't continue hunting, it'll never drop. If I keep hunting, the next one might drop. Even Lao Tiko (Darkx) also said this to me. Usually I hunt Roggy alone, as I know hunting NM is a boring task so I never really ask people for help. However, there are ocassions where a few friends popped by to have fun together, namely the forgotten Taru Ces, Zaan, Rubedo, Diablosksa, Suffocation, Lareine, Greyfox...

Came out of my retirement early because Greyfox came and we killed Tonberry for their coats and I can have this opportunity to do a parry skill up (now 141.5). Peachie came soon after and I helped her get her offering for Carbuncle Mitts. Thief will always be remember as {sacrificial chamber} or TH whore. :p So while fighting Roggy came to say hi when he felt like it, but as expected no knife drop. This will bring my tally up to 1/44. Maybe it'd be 2/86? {Thanks for the offer but I'll pass}

.. was never easy. Especially in a Linkshell such as Vanquisher. Everyone is very closly-knitted this this Linkshell. We're just like one big family, so having someone to leave the Linkshell and game wasn't easy on anybody in the Linkshell...

Today, we bid farewell to Totumoi. She's a very cute taru and a female player in real life. Although she was seldom online due to her work commitments, everyone enojoyed having her around as one of us. She has decided to leave the game for a better job prospects in real life. Well, this is the end of the road for Totumoi. Vanquisher will miss her dearly, especially true for those female gamers still in the Linkshell. I still remember this NM almost got me to quit the game last year as I would live in Temple for weeks or months only to go away to sleep, restock or sell loots. Then it dawned upon me, to just forget about the prized drop and just have fun with the game. That's when i quit camping him for a {long time}.

My 39th Rogberry gave me the same loots as yesterday....

I got the next claim again off the same Nin/Thf on Windsday, Waning Gibbous (88%). 0/40! He tried to Throat Stab me once and the drops were Light Crystal and Tonberry Coat this time round.

Outpulled a Nin/Thf rival (not that it is a great feat) because I've always been very confident of my Mug claim in the Rogberry room. Killing him isn't much of a problem either. Even a Tonberry Stabber has a better accuracy then Rogberry. keke.

Today I went for the Maat Fight again. It was my 4th try. I told Grey that I know I wouldn't make it for the fight, simply because I have a very bad feeling >.< The short was a short 1 as usual.

Kuftal Tunnel Adventure

My BST's scythe skill is pretty much lagging behind as compared to my axe's skill. Therefore I asked Greyfox if he wants to go weapon skilling. So we decided to go Kuftal Tunnel to skill on Recluse Spiders. Greyfox did get lots of ups for his sword but my scythe skill was too high. So after sometime, I begin skilling my club instead.

A skill up session soon became a spider web farming session and lo and behold, Amemet pop right in front of me. It's a bit funny how the NM pop amongst the spiders instead of his familiar territory amongst the lizards where lots of gilsellers camp. So I went on to charm a cactuar and got claim. Amemet is pretty evil and hits 3 times harder then my pets (used mostly spiders as cactuar is very charm resistant).

Soon after, (how can we forget some rivalry drama, right?) a group of non-LS players came over and hover around our NM, always ready to steal. This group consist of a RNG/NIN, Coderiant is his name, who eventually aggroed and train many spiders most likely to his death. The mage from this group was evil enough to cure 3 Greyfox in an attempt to steal hate. This is when you truly have to give thanks for "/blockaid on".

With me swapping pets very often and Greyfox helping to keep claim by Dia-ing when I swap pets, we were able to eventually bring the NM down. At one point of time we almost died and I remember seeing my HP @ 1%. I was like "Oh my pamamas!"

All in all we did a great job and to much dismay only 1 skin drop and was sold at 248,000g. (^-^)b

Logging on tonight I had a certain desire rushing in me to check when I can do the next ENM. Remembering that since some updates ago, ENM NPC has been available for us to check when we'll be eligible to do the next ENM. Therefore I went and did a search in some of the more popular FF websites and found out that these following NPCs are residing in the 4 nations. This will be good information for those who are avid ENMers or aspiring to be one.

These NPCs are pretty easy to spot. They're Black Mage wannabes dressing up in Black Cloaks OR they may be Dark Knight wannabes dressing up in Vampire Cloaks as seen in the screenie. And they can be spotted at:

Sorry guys, I've screwed up at Maat again. Thanks for helping me to hunt for the Black Mage Testimonial.

The fight went horribily wrong. I wasn't even close to defeated him this time round compared to the last. I don't know what went wrong. I went in and started off with a Freeze. It did great damage compared to the last. Slight resistl, dealing 552 dmg. This kinda shocked me as it was Firesday... After that I went ahead and Seal Slept him. Then I went Manafont > Flare. THIS made me pissed off, dealing ONLY 84 dmg. (WTF!?)

Things went haywire from here. He started casting Aeroga III, I was sure I ran out of range, then I saw him ran and his spell went off. Shadows ate the spell. I ran and tried to bind him, failed. Then it happened the 2nd time. He starts casting Thunderga III, I ran. He ran and spell went off. Boom! Im a dead taru...

/sigh I guess this is a gd sign that I should stop playing. Sch's on Monday. Maybe I'll get my Blm to 70 and leave it to rot. When sch starts, I wouldn't be able to afford the time to play as much even though I've only got 3 hrs of sch everyday. I need to get a job soon, the family needs it. So... come Monday, maybe you guys wouldn't see me anymore.. I dont know... We'll see how yeah? One thing's for sure, I'll still be back in Forums ^^ The Blog will be up to u guys to update then ^^; hehehe.....

This blog has become my homepoint for my FF activities lately. I'm posting more on this blog then on my uber outdated personnal blog! Oh my pamamas! How can that be?!

Anyway apart from my usual thief duties, I'm also a level 67 (at the time of post) BST. Some NA friend asked me to PT and I gladly accept since I have been pretty stagnent on my BST lately.

"Psst!... And someone also has a hidden agenda for wanting me to reach BST 69 ASAP."

I hope no one is assuming I'm into cosplaying or hentai activities. >.>

Anyway BST PT is really fun and our pet comrades are so much stronger then a normal player. So we usually kill faster then a normal 6 man PT. ^^ I use Rabbit (as I'm the puller) and the other 2 BST used Mandy as pets. Mandy (Monks) are really good pets. Hard to charm but easy with a Light/Apollo Staff. In a matter of 2 hours we gained 7500+ exp. W00t!

Just a simple personal update:

I hit 69Blm/34Whm this morning. It's hard getting to where I am now, but the road ahead seems harder. Only 6 more levels to go to the level cap, but I have no idea when I'll be hitting the Big 75. Target now is to hit 70 by this Friday 'cos sch's starting coming Monday. When Monday comes, maybe you guys wouldn't see me online much anymore. This is the last chance I get at going back to sch, and I cant afford to screw up this time round. Hell, I hate going back to sch >.< ... After I disbanded, something hit me. It's about time I get that Elemental Torque while I still have the cash. Went to Auction House, checked the price of the Torque and I nearly fainted. It went from 1.7mil about 5days ago to the current 2.5mil. WTH!? I thought to myself: Might as well save the money for that "Tattoo Set" at level 73. Checked it and I fainted again... went from 2.2mil to 3mil currently. *insert huge sigh here* Looks like I'll nvr be able to be a Über Blm XD. Time to head back to my good old playground, and hope that it rewards me well enough to get all the items i want >.< ... On a lighter note:
Moooooooahahahahahah~ hit 72 Cooking finally XD I've put my cooking skills away for a loooong time. If u guys need me to cook anything, send me a tell with the ingredients and I'll gladly cook it for ya... IF it's within my capability ^^v

Approximately 1 year 8 months into FF11... and I still remember the very first cutscene we'll see when we start the game.

"It all begins with a stone...."

As shown in the screenshot, is where all hell broke lose many many years ago. After finishing CoP I have to make my way there for the last cutscene. It's the very first time I went there. I must say the view is breath taking.

Thinking back we definately fought the good fight and presevered to the end. This journey with many different battle comrades is a memorable experience. We started the journey into Emptiness with 2 full PT strength and ended defeating Promathia with 8, some of which came, gone and replaced. I want to thank all those who had played a part in making this gil-burning, time-consuming, experience points-wasting journey an unforgetable one. Hee.

The date's 13th Aug 2005. The time is 2:30am. I've just finish lvlling my Black Mage and warpped back into Jueno. Then a message flashed across the chat log:

Greyfox: Crash wan to go camp Moldavite Earring?

Needless to say I was all excited, so I invited Greyfox and we went to camp the Goblin. The wait seemed forever. 30mins, an hour... 2hrs passed and still no sight of that stupid Goblin. It was only after about 2hrs 15mins Mr. Mysticmaker Profblix decided to show up, and Greyfox did a good job by claiming it with his Dia.

The fight was an easy one. He's a {Too Weak} Notorious Monster if u ask me. The fight ended with a Freeze from Yours Truly XD...

W00t! NM Down!... And the drops are simply... see for yourself -.-

/sigh Better luck next time Grey ^^; He's 0/3 on the drop while I'm 0/1. Another defeated Notorious Monster with crappy drops goes into the Crash's Record... LOL

My {call for help} to kill a NM which drop Mountain Gaiters was soon answered by many helpful LS members. Unfortunately the NM didn't drop the goods. /cry. This picture was taken prior fighting the NM and unfortunately I didn't take any pictures during the actual fight as I was busy tanking them. /cry again. Don't these 3 evil Tarus look like those silly Tarus from CoP? (._.") Are they Tarus in Goblins disguises or Goblins in Tarus disguises. (>.<")

Goldfishes... {mine}

I received a Goldfish set item for the Summer Festival. It's a Ex/Rare item meaning u cant trade it to anyone else to craft it for u. So I decided to bring my alchemy up a little, specially just to craft this item. The forums said that it needed Woodworking, Smithing and Alchemy, but no level was stated. So I decided to lvl Alchemy to 20, just to be safe hehe...

And this is what I get from crafting the Goldfish Set.... My very own Goldfish Bowl ^^

And 1 thing I realised.... after u put the Goldfish Bowl into ur Moghouse as furnishings... ur goldfishes will DISAPPEAR after a few days... u need to remove it from ur layout and re-insert it into ur furnishing slot to make ur goldfishes appear again...

OK guys, this is it. I've created a blog for our Linkshell. Why a blog? Hmm.. idk, lol! Maybe all i wan is a common place where our linkshell can post there everyday adventures here. No, this does not mean u have to close ur individual blogs. You can keep ur own blogs, cause this will be more for LS events ie. when the LS sets out to do missions/quest together.

I will give the p/w of this blog to a few at a time. Everyone will get the password. Any1 with the password is welcomed to post here and update pics. This is a LS blog, so keep the pics and post coming in guys ^^
